Nelson And District Credit Union is a credit union located in British Columbia. It was founded in 1950. It primarily serves Nelson and West Kootenay.
Nelson & District Credit Union was established on November 16, 1950, in Nelson, British Columbia, originally as Nelson Savings Credit Union. In the 1960s, it expanded its services and adopted its current name to reflect a broader regional role.
Its history includes the incorporation of smaller local credit unions, including Nelson Railway Employees Credit Union and Provincial Government Employees Credit Union. A later merger with Riondel and District Credit Union added to its regional service network.
Today, Nelson & District Credit Union serves the West Kootenay region through locations in Nelson, Rossland, and the East Shore. It offers personal and business banking, financial planning through NDCU MoneyWorks, and insurance through KIS Ltd.
