Sydney Credit Union is a credit union located in Nova Scotia. It was founded in 1935. It primarily serves Sydney and Cape Breton.

Sydney Credit Union was founded on November 16, 1935, in Sydney, Nova Scotia. It was established as a local financial cooperative serving residents in the Sydney area.

The credit union later expanded through additional branches and through the purchase of assets from neighbouring credit unions, including Louisbourg Credit Union in 1993 and Main A Dieu Credit Union in 2008. In 1990, it installed the first credit union ATM in Nova Scotia.

Today, Sydney Credit Union serves members in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality. It offers personal and business banking, borrowing, mortgages, investments, and related financial services. The credit union also operates a profit sharing program and a charitable foundation.
